How to research companies on Symantec’s Data Protection
A study by the company on the Symantec Data Protection between 31 Spanish Sees indicates that the protection of information itself has become the priority of these, unlike a year ago when barely looked at as a threat.
For businesses of all types of industries, industry, health, property or consumption, loss of information is the main risk that Sees have today (51% consider it very important), ahead of terrorism, crime or cyber attacks. Thus, companies are busy in the near future to improve the security of its major systems or improve recovery and archiving, and reduce computing costs. In fact, 71% and says it has made changes to strengthen its infrastructure in data protection.
In addition, according to another survey among Sees in different countries, they spent $ 51,000 and two thirds of its people in the protection of information and even 87 percent of Sees have a disaster preparedness plan.
Compared to the previous year, 2009, the fastest growing areas include cyber security, backup, recovery, and archiving with 25%. In fact, security is expected to increase again next 2011 another 25%.
Symantec also recalls the need of Sees to educate their employees about Internet safety, protecting business-critical information, implement an effective plan for recovery and backups
